{"id":102330,"date":"2016-10-18T13:16:36","date_gmt":"2016-10-18T13:16:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2016\/10\/18\/245313\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:25:46","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:25:46","slug":"dutch-development-bank-fmo-and-acba-credit-agricole-bank-sign-usd-15-million-loan-agreement-to-boost-armenias-sme-and-agriculture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2016\/10\/18\/102330\/","title":{"rendered":"Dutch Development Bank (FMO) and ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK sign  USD 15 million loan agreement to boost Armenia\u2019s SME and agriculture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, October 18. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fmo.nl\/\">The Dutch Development Bank (FMO)<\/a> and Armenia-based ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK have signed a loan agreement to the tune of USD 15 million.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was signed on the sidelines of a FMO-organized conference in the Dutch town of Noordwijk titled \u2018The Future of Finance,&#8221; ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK said today in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>The Bank said the loan funds will be channeled into the development of Armenia\u2019s small and medium-sized enterprises and the agricultural sector. The loan is multi-currency, meaning that funds will be available both in US dollars and Armenian drams.\u00a0 The Bank described the agreement as the first step of direct cooperation with FMO.<\/p>\n<p>ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK started to cooperate with FMO back in 2012 in the framework of a credit in the national currency. The agreement had been signed between the Bank and the EBRD with FMO acting as the second creditor.<\/p>\n<p>ACBA was established in 1996 as part of EU\u2019s TACIS program. As a result of a long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation between ACBA Bank and the French Credit Agricole the latter became the biggest shareholder of ACBA in 2006, September.
