Some 93% of that amount were direct taxes, the Committee said.<\/p>\n<p>The leading insurance company by size of paid taxes was Rosgosstrakh Armenia -588 million drams. It was followed by Ingo-Armenia &#8211; 512 million drams, Nairi Insurance &#8211; 390 million drams, Sil Insurance &#8211; 224.1 million drams, Armenia Insurance \u2013 210.3 million drams and Reso &#8211; 165.7 million drams.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the 1000 largest taxpayers paid more than 716.9 billion drams in taxes in 2016, by 2.8% more than in 2015.
