{"id":105458,"date":"2017-02-03T14:59:49","date_gmt":"2017-02-03T14:59:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2017\/02\/03\/245860\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:27:45","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:27:45","slug":"armenian-bank-deposits-reach-2-4-trillion-drams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2017\/02\/03\/105458\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenian bank deposits reach 2.4 trillion drams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, February 3. \/ ARKA \/.<\/strong> In late December 2016 total deposits in Armenian commercial banks amounted to 2.413 billion drams, by 23.7% or 462.2 billion drams more than in late December 2015, according to the Central Bank of Armenia.<\/p>\n<p>Resident deposits in Armenia\u2019s national currency, the dram, surged last year by 30.3 % to 698.6 billion drams and deposits in foreign currency grew by 10.1% to the equivalent of 1.063 trillion drams, according to the regulator.<\/p>\n<p>Resident demand deposits in drams increased by 21.4% to 255 billion drams and time deposits soared by 36% to 443.5 billion drams.<\/p>\n<p>Demand deposits in foreign currency upped by 0.5% to the equivalent of 241.7 billion drams and time deposits grew by 13.2% to the equivalent of 821.5 billion drams, official figures say.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, total resident deposits stood at 1.761 billion drams in late December 2016, having increased by 17.3% year-on-year. Non-resident deposits surged by 45% to 651.5 billion drams.
