{"id":105694,"date":"2017-02-10T11:20:41","date_gmt":"2017-02-10T11:20:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2017\/02\/10\/245902\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:27:53","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:27:53","slug":"58-4-growth-in-investments-in-armenian-government-bonds-in-december-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2017\/02\/10\/105694\/","title":{"rendered":"58.4% growth in investments in Armenian government bonds in December 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, February 10. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Aggregate investments in Armenia\u2019s government bonds grew 58.4% in December 2016, compared with the same month a year before, to AMD 508.3 billion, the Central Bank of Armenia says.<\/p>\n<p>According to the regulator, residents\u2019 investments in government bonds totaled AMD 500.3 billion in December 2016 showing a 56.3-percent year-on-year growth.<\/p>\n<p>Armenian banks\u2019 investments in government bonds doubled to AMD 365.5 billion, while the central bank\u2019s investments shrank 26.6% to about AMD 63.1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Non-bank agents and dealers invested nothing in government bonds in December 2016, and non-bank investors accounted for AMD 71.6 billion (40.6% growth).<\/p>\n<p>Non-residents\u2019 investments in government bonds amounted to AMD 7.9 billion in December 2016 &#8211; 10.5 times more than one year earlier.
