The net inflow of remittances in 2017 January amounted to about $41.6 million against $19.9 million in January 2016 (an increase of 2 times).<\/p>\n<p>The amount of remittances from Russia in January 2017 increased by 34.5% from 2016 January. The amount of remittances from Armenia fell by 7% to $16.6 million.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Central Bank, a total of $1.532.8 billion arrived in Armenia last year as private remittances, by 6% less than in 2015 and $816.9 million were remitted form Armenia to other countries (an increase of 7.3%).
