{"id":107242,"date":"2017-04-26T12:16:23","date_gmt":"2017-04-26T12:16:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2017\/04\/26\/246213\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:29:02","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:29:02","slug":"fitch-affirms-ardshinbanks-ratings-and-revises-outlook-to-stable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2017\/04\/26\/107242\/","title":{"rendered":"Fitch affirms Ardshinbank&#8217;s ratings and revises outlook to \u2018stable\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, April 26. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Ardshinbank said today that the Fitch Ratings provided rating rationale and in particular stated that \u201cArdshinbank\u2019s ratings are driven by bank\u2019s reasonable financial metrics, underpinned by the recovering economy and relative currency stability, available capital and liquidity buffers and solid domestic franchise (end-2016 market shares by total assets: 13% for Ardshin)\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The revision of the Outlook from Negative to Stable \u201creflects Fitch\u2019s expectation that potential asset quality pressures, in particular, arising from the restructured\/risky exposures could be gradually absorbed through the bank\u2019s earnings without eroding the bank\u2019s capital.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Fitch Ratings also mentioned Ardshinbank\u2019s last M&amp;A transaction. \u201cThe recent merger with a smaller domestic Areximbank had a neutral effect on Ardshin\u2019s ratings, as Arexim contributed a minor 8% to the combined assets of a merged bank, while its balance sheet has been largely cleaned-up by the previous owners prior to the merger\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ardshinbank\u2019s rating matches the one published for the Republic of Armenia, being the highest possible that an Armenian private entity can qualify for.<\/p>\n<p>Ardshinbank is the only Armenian private company with two ratings from internationally recognized and reputable rating agencies &#8211; Moody\u2019s and Fitch rating.<\/p>\n<p>Ardshinbank was founded in 2003. Besides, about 70 branches the bank has a service point and a representative office in Paris. The bank is among top three Armenian banks in terms of all major indicators.
