{"id":108704,"date":"2017-07-10T15:21:55","date_gmt":"2017-07-10T15:21:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2017\/07\/10\/246500\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:30:04","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:30:04","slug":"dram-deposits-at-armenias-banks-grow-in-may-as-dollar-deposits-shrink","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2017\/07\/10\/108704\/","title":{"rendered":"Dram deposits at Armenia\u2019s banks grow in May as dollar deposits shrink"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, July 10. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Residents\u2019 deposits in drams in Armenia grew 1.2% in May 2017, compared with the previous month, to AMD 750 billion, and dollar deposits shrank 0.8% to AMD 1 066.8 billion, the Central Bank of Armenia reports on its website.<\/p>\n<p>Demand deposits in the national currency totaled AMD 235.7 billion in late May after growing 0.9% over that month, and time deposits grew 1.4% to AMD 514.7 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Demand deposits in US dollars grew 1.2% to AMD 267.8 billion, while time deposits in dollars shrank 1.5% to AMD 799 billion.<\/p>\n<p>In total, residents\u2019 deposits in the country\u2019s banks amounted to AMD 1 817.4 billion showing a 0.002% month-on-month growth and nonresidents\u2019 deposits to AMD 616.2 billion (0.09% decline).<\/p>\n<p>Deposits at Armenia\u2019s banks totaled AMD 2 433.5 billion in late May (0.02% decline.
