YEREVAN, September 11. \/ARKA\/. Armenian commercial banks bought a total of $69.2 million from the local intra-bank foreign currency market from September 4 to September 8 at the weighted average exchange rate of 477.51 drams for $1, the press service of the Central Bank reported.<\/p>\n
It said they also bought 9.1 million euros and about 1.15 billion Russian rubles at the weighted average exchange rates of 568.12 drams for \u20ac1 and 8.26 drams per 1 ruble, respectively.<\/p>\n
The banks were said to have also sold about $77.5 million, \u20ac11.7 million and 506.3 million rubles at the weighted average exchange rates of 478.85 drams, 571.69 drams and 8.35 drams, respectively.
\nNo transactions with the US dollars were effected at the NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange during the reporting period.<\/p>\n
