{"id":113796,"date":"2018-05-03T07:13:29","date_gmt":"2018-05-03T07:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2018\/05\/03\/247397\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:33:25","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:33:25","slug":"armenian-regulator-urges-everybody-not-to-disseminate-disinformation-and-says-banking-system-is-stable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2018\/05\/03\/113796\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenian regulator urges everybody not to disseminate disinformation and says banking system is stable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, May 3. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The Central Bank of Armenia, reacting to some people\u2019s concern over the country\u2019s banking system, issued a statement on Wednesday urging people not to spread disinformation about the state of the banking system.<\/p>\n<p>The regulator says in its statement that, in accordance with the Constitution, the central bank is a nonpolitical, professional organization which has two key goals \u2013 stability of prices and financial stability.<\/p>\n<p>In its statement, the central bank says that Armenia\u2019s financial system is an accomplished system and banks have no problems with cash liquidity \u2013 their reserves are sufficient, as never before.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMore than that \u2013 we are calling on everybody to display restraint and not to disseminate disinformation,\u201d the bank says. \u201cAll rumors and unconfirmed information prompt alarming behavior, which strikes at our citizens and their financial resources.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The regulator says that it keeps things under control and has enough instruments for ensuring stability in Armenia\u2019s financial system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dWe are calling on everybody to be calm and not to display alarming behavior as a result of disinformation,\u201d the bank says.<\/p>\n<p>Pashinyan also called on people block all roads, excluding roads to Artsakh.<\/p>\n<p>On April 23, Serzh Sargsyan, who was appointed by the Armenian parliament as prime minister amid widespread disaffection for him, resigned under the pressure of mass protests against his premiership.
