{"id":114084,"date":"2018-05-18T14:14:40","date_gmt":"2018-05-18T14:14:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2018\/05\/18\/247455\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:33:38","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:33:38","slug":"depositors-are-back-to-banks-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2018\/05\/18\/114084\/","title":{"rendered":"Depositors are back to banks again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, May 18. \/ ARKA \/.<\/strong> Ashot Osipyan, the chairman of Araratbank Board, said today that the depositors who hastened to withdraw their deposits from local banks during the recent political crisis are now coming back.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In the first days of the nation-wide protests, some of depositors withdrew their deposits from the banks, which is typical for the current situation, since money likes peace, but now we see a return tendency,&#8221; Osipyan said during discussions organized by the Club of Economic Journalists.<\/p>\n<p>He said, however, that the outflow of deposits was much less than expected, but refrained to specify.<br \/>\nNationwide mass protests made prime minister Serzh Sargsyan to step down on April 23.
