{"id":116053,"date":"2018-09-14T06:59:49","date_gmt":"2018-09-14T06:59:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2018\/09\/14\/247832\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:34:59","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:34:59","slug":"armenias-sis-completes-investigation-of-hsbc-bank-armenia-robbery-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2018\/09\/14\/116053\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenia\u2019s SIS completes  investigation of HSBC bank Armenia robbery case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, September 14. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Armenia\u2019s Special Investigative Service (SIS) said today it has completed the investigation of a criminal case of an armed attack on a branch of HSBC Bank Armenia in the capital city Yerevan on May 3, in which two persons were killed and another one wounded by a man armed with a knife, a grenade, and a rifle.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Special Investigative Service, the attacker is a traffic police colonel Daniel Danielyan, who broke into the bank\u2019s branch on Komitas Avenue and taking 242.3 million drams (a sum equivalent to $500,000).<\/p>\n<p>The police rapid response group immediately arrived at the scene surrounding the robber with the help of a passer-by, but the robber showed resistance, wounding one of the policemen, but was quickly rendered harmless and taken to the police.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation revealed that besides the grenade Danielyan also illegally acquired and kept at his home two guns PM and APS and 25 cartridges for other types of weapons.<br \/>\nDanielyan is charged with robbery, murder, illegal acquisition, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices.
