{"id":117477,"date":"2018-11-28T09:26:40","date_gmt":"2018-11-28T09:26:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2018\/11\/28\/248065\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:35:50","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:35:50","slug":"central-bank-head-and-bstdb-president-discussed-status-of-projects-in-armenia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2018\/11\/28\/117477\/","title":{"rendered":"Central bank head  and BSTDB president discussed status of projects in Armenia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, November 28. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Artur Javadyan and the President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) Dmitry Pankin had a meeting today in Yerevan to discuss the status of a set of BSTDB-financed projects in Armenia, as well as ways to expand cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, in an interview with ARKA news agency, Pankin said the purpose of his visit to Armenia was to discuss with the country&#8217;s leadership the Bank\u2019s new strategy and to determine medium-term priorities. He said also that his main proposal to the bank\u2019s shareholders is to increase the number of infrastructure projects in the bank\u2019s project portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>He said also that currently, the amount of projects signed with Armenia was estimated approximately at 130 million euros. About 83 million euros have already been released. \u2018This is a lot given that Armenia accounts for about 6.5% in the loan portfolio of the Bank, while its share in the shareholder structure is only 0.5%.,\u2019 he said. As of October 31, 2018, BSTDB\u2019s investments in Armenia were worth 226.6 million euros.<\/p>\n<p>The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank is an international financial institution founded by Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine. The headquarters of the BSTDB are in Thessaloniki (Greece).
