{"id":118049,"date":"2018-12-26T07:47:38","date_gmt":"2018-12-26T07:47:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2018\/12\/26\/248155\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:36:10","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:36:10","slug":"unibanks-usd-denominated-bonds-totaling-5-million-listed-at-nasdaq-omx-armenia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2018\/12\/26\/118049\/","title":{"rendered":"Unibank\u2019s USD-denominated bonds totaling $5 million listed at NASDAQ OMX Armenia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, December 26. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Unibank\u2019s USD-denominated bonds totaling $5 million are included in Abond list NASDAQ OMX Armenia, the press office of the stock exchange reported on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The bank\u2019s 50,000 bonds (UNIBB6) worth $100 each with the annual yield of 5.5% are listed.<\/p>\n<p>Their maturity term is 36 months, and coupon payments will be made once a quarter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an open shareholder company, Unibank takes an active part at the securities market and provides an opportunity to the population to use more profitable investment instruments,\u201d said Mesrop Hakobyan, the chairman of Unibank\u2019s board. \u201cWe have carried out eight issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In his words, this year Unibank has placed the bonds amounting to AMD 1 billion and USD 5 million.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the high demand for the bonds shows the population\u2019s confidence in the bank and the effective and the bank\u2019s forward-looking strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Rating highly Unibank\u2019s cooperation with the stock exchange, Hakobyan said that the bank intends to continue issuing bonds the next year.<\/p>\n<p>NASDAQ OMX Armenia CEO Hayk Yeganyan greeted Unibank and congratulated it on the first listing ceremony in the stock exchange\u2019s new office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dI am calling on players in economy to attract financing from their own clients through securities. As a stock exchange, we are making every effort to create convenient opportunities for all our clients \u2013 both investors and issuers,\u201d he said. \u201cThe recent months\u2019 results show that we have taken the right way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Unibank was established in 2001. In 2002, it introduced Unistream system. Its principal shareholder is UNIHOLDING GG LIMITED. In 2015, the bank was reorganized into an open joint stock company.
