{"id":119404,"date":"2019-02-14T14:10:40","date_gmt":"2019-02-14T14:10:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2019\/02\/14\/248262\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:36:38","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:36:38","slug":"banks-of-armenia-increase-their-transfers-to-government-budget-by-20-in-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2019\/02\/14\/119404\/","title":{"rendered":"Banks of Armenia increase their transfers to government budget by 20% in 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, February 14. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>All the banks operating in Armenia are among the country\u2019s largest taxpayers\u2013 they transferred AMD 48.6 billion to the government budget in 2018 against AMD 40.4 billion in 2017. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Stet Revenue Committee, they paid AMD 20 billion as profit tax, AMD 24 billion as income tax, AMD 1.9 billion as VAT and AMD 2.5 billion as other taxes and duties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ameriabank is the biggest taxpayer among the country\u2019s banks \u2013 it sent AMD 6.1 billion to the government budget and ranked 22nd in the whole list of taxpayers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, with its AMD 6 billion transferred to the government budget, was second among banks and 24th in the total list, Inecobank, with AMD 4.8 billion, was third among banks and 31st in the total ranking, Ardshinbank, with AMD 4.6 billion was fourth and 36th respectively and <br>\nVTB Bank (Armenia) fifth and 38th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Armbusinessbank (AMD 4 billion), Converse Bank (3.4 billion), Armeconombank (AMD 2.5 billion), Unibank (AMD 2.2 billion), Ararabank (AMD 2.14 billion), Armswissbank (AMD 2.1 billion) and HSBC Bank Armenia (AMD 1.8 billion) are among 100 biggest taxpayers of Armenia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aggregate net profits of the country\u2019s banks amounted to AMD 62.2 billion in 2018 against AMD 34.8 billion in 2017 showing a 78.7% growth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As many as 16 of the country\u2019s 17 banks ended the year 2018 with profits. <br>\nArmenia\u2019s 1000 largest taxpayers have transferred over AMD 926.7 billion to the government budget in 2018 \u2013 14.7% or AMD 119.3 billion more than in 2017.
