Insurance companies also collected a total of 19.5 billion drams in insurance premiums, by 5.5% more than in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Six Armenian insurance companies received last year 67,401 car insurance compensation claims, up from 60,588 in 2017. The amount of paid compensation claims grew by 16.8% to 13.9 billion drams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mandatory insurance against physical damage caused to other cars and individuals became mandatory in Armenia on January 1, 2012.
