{"id":124647,"date":"2019-10-14T08:36:21","date_gmt":"2019-10-14T08:36:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2019\/10\/14\/248808\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:38:57","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:38:57","slug":"armenian-deputy-pm-and-world-bank-regional-director-discussed-future-cooperation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2019\/10\/14\/124647\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenian deputy PM and World Bank regional director discussed future cooperation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, October 14. \/AR\u041a\u0410\/. <\/strong>Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan received today a World Bank delegation led by World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Sebastian Molineus, Avinyan&#8217;s press office reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It quoted Avinyan as saying that the meeting was a good opportunity for an exchange of thoughts on the activities of the bank in Armenia, as well as for a discussion of current and future programs.<br>\nMolineus was said to have congratulated the government on the recent successful issuance of Eurobonds, as well as on successful conduct of the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT-2019).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two sides discussed a set of issues pertaining to digitization, tourism, water management, energy strategy and efficiency, as well as outlined further steps in this direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On September 26, 2019, Armenia successfully placed Eurobonds in the amount of $500 million with a 10-year maturity and 4.2% yield on the international capital market. The coupon yield on new Eurobonds is 9.95.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Armenia first issued $700 million worth dollar-denominated bonds in September 2013 at the yield of 6.25 percent and a maturity of 7 years. The bulk of $700 million was used to repay a $500 million Russian loan ten years ahead of schedule.
