YEREVAN, July 8. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>The Central Bank of Armenia says $308 million has come to Armenia from Russia over the period between January and May 2010 as individual noncommercial transfers.<\/p>\n

This amount is 11.2% greater than that transferred over the same period a year earlier.<\/p>\n

According to the report, $56.6 million was sent from Armenia to Russia in Jan-May 2010 against the $56.6 million transferred over the same period a year earlier (39.1% year-on-year growth).<\/p>\n

As a result, net cash inflow from Russia totaled $251.4 million in Jan-May 2010 against $236.3 million a year earlier (6.4% year-on-year growth).<\/p>\n

Transfers from Russia made up 64.2% of the total amount of individual noncommercial transfers to Armenia.<\/p>\n

Transfers from Armenia to Russia made up 23.2% of all the transfers from Armenia.<\/p>\n

The central bank says $479.9 million came to Armenia through banks in Jan-May 2010 as individual noncommercial transfers (4.2% year-on-year growth).<\/p>\n

Armenia transferred $244.3 million abroad in Jan-May 2010 (17.2 % growth).<\/p>\n

As a result, net inflow reached $235.5 million in Jan-May 2010 after growing 1.3%, compared with the same period a year before. ($1 = AMD 368.73). -0—<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
