{"id":130971,"date":"2020-11-03T15:54:10","date_gmt":"2020-11-03T15:54:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2020\/11\/03\/249572\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:42:40","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:42:40","slug":"ban-on-imports-of-turkish-goods-will-not-lead-to-inflation-rise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2020\/11\/03\/130971\/","title":{"rendered":"Ban on imports of Turkish goods will not lead to inflation rise"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, November 3. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>The ban on imports of finished Turkish goods will not lead to additional inflation, Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan told reporters on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Armenian government has imposed the ban that will be in force from December 31, 2020 for a period of 6 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI do not think that the ban will lead to higher inflation, since Turkish goods make a small share in total volume of consumed products,\u201d Khachatryan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAccording to our estimates, there is not a single product segment where Turkish goods have a large share and, therefore, we can confidently say that there will be no inflation,\u201d Khachatryan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ban was prompted by Turkish assistance to Azerbaijan that started massive war against Nagorno-Karabakh.
