YEREVAN , July 26, \/ARKA\/. Armenian commercial banks\u00a0 expect the national currency, the Dram, to start losing its value against USD and other hard currencies, in September, according to findings of a survey conducted among local banks, posted\u00a0 on the\u00a0 Central Bank\u2019s official website.<\/p>\n
According to the findings, the dram is expected to devaluate to 372.95\u00a0 per one USD in September and to 376.76\u00a0 by the end of the year. Currently the USD is trading at\u00a0 366.33 Drams.<\/p>\n
The majority of banks\u00a0 do not expect\u00a0 the interest rates on deposits to change, however, the number of banks predicting that the interest rates on deposits in foreign exchange will go down\u00a0 is twice bigger ( 7 banks)\u00a0 than the number of banks\u00a0 predicting the same regarding deposits in Drams.
