YEREVAN, August 5. \/ARKA\/. Armenia faced 7.3% inflation in the first half of this year, compared with the same period a year earlier, the Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States reports.<\/p>\n
This is one of the highest indicators among CIS countries.\u00a0 Year-on-year price rise in CIS countries averaged 7% in Jan-June 2010.
\nAccording to the statistical report, prices in Armenia went 0.8% down in June, compared with May.
\nAll CIS countries faced inflation in Jan-June 2010.\u00a0 Ukraine suffered the highest price rise \u2013 9.8%.
\nKazakhstan, with its 7.1% increase, follows Ukraine.<\/p>\n
