YEREVAN, August 9. \/ARKA\/. Individuals in Armenia received noncommercial transfers totalling $402.7 million from Russia through banks in Jan-June 2010, the Central Bank of Armenia says in the monthly report that is available on its official website.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This amount is 11.5% larger than the $360.1 million received at the same period a year earlier.
\nAccording to the report, $69.3 million were transferred from Armenia to Russia in Jan-June 2010 against the $50.8 million sent to Russia over six months of the previous year (36.4% year-on-year growth).\u00a0<\/p>\n
As a result, net inflow from Russia amounted to $333.3 million in Jan-June 2010 against $310.3 million at the same period a year earlier (7.4% year-on-year growth).\u00a0<\/p>\n
Transfers from Russia made up 65.3% of the total amount of individual noncommercial transfers to Armenia in Jan-June 2010, and transfers to Russia made up 22.2% of Armenia\u2019s transfers abroad.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The report says that $616.9 million came to Armenia from the outside through banks in Jan-June 2010 as noncommercial transfers (3% year-on-year growth) and sent $311.7 million abroad (20.3% growth).
