YEREVAN, May 23. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Another solar photovoltaic power plant was built on a 7.5 hectare land plot in Talin with the assistance of Acba Bank. The Talin-2 power plant will produce 10.5 mln. kWh of electricity annually, Acba Bank\u2019s press service reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four public hearings were held for the project and by the decision of experts, Talin was chosen as it has the largest number of sunny days per year, which is one of the important conditions for the production of “green energy”. The solar plant began operating in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We started working with partners back at the design stage. There were a lot of questions that we didn’t know the answers to, but we went all the way with them. In the process, we took advantage of some banking products, and loans were also raised from international funds. As a result we got an interesting project,” noted Norik Nazaryan, Deputy Executive Director for Sales Promotion and Regional Management at Acba Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The installed capacity of the power plant is 5 MW. Due to the operation of Talin-2, carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by 10,200 tons annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
