{"id":141332,"date":"2022-08-05T13:59:53","date_gmt":"2022-08-05T13:59:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2022\/08\/05\/250481\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:48:21","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:48:21","slug":"edb-implementing-its-armenia-strategy-at-advanced-pace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2022\/08\/05\/141332\/","title":{"rendered":"EDB implementing its\u00a0Armenia\u00a0strategy at advanced pace"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, August 5. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) is implementing its country strategy for Armenia at an advanced pace, EDB Board Chairman Nikolai Podguzov said at a press conference today\u00a0in Yerevan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We believe that we will have to increase the amount of planned $250 million investments for the next five-year period after having $150mln worth investment for 2022 alone,&#8221; he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Podguzov noted, the country strategy adopted by the Bank in mid-2021, which went into effect in early 2022, remains generally relevant, but there may be some adjustments due to changed realities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the priorities of the EDB\u2019s strategy in Armenia for 2022-2026 is to ensure food security by increasing the productivity of the agricultural sector, helping to reduce the country&#8217;s dependence on imports of key agro-industrial products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. Its authorized capital is $7 billion.
