{"id":149142,"date":"2023-06-06T09:30:44","date_gmt":"2023-06-06T09:30:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2023\/06\/06\/250931\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:51:26","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:51:26","slug":"armenias-total-public-debt-grows-to-almost-11-bln-in-late-april-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2023\/06\/06\/149142\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenia&#8217;s total public debt grows to almost $11 bln in late April 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, June\u00a06. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>Armenia&#8217;s overall state debt as of April 30, 2023 stood at\u00a0\u00a0over $10.9 billion, having increased by over $73.8 million\u00a0from\u00a0March, 2023, according to\u00a0the\u00a0numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee\u00a0\u00a0(NSC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In late December 2022 the country&#8217;s overall state debt was worth over $10.6 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the National Statistics Committee, in late April 2023 the country&#8217;s foreign debt stood&nbsp;at over $6.4 billion, an increase of $34.975 million from the previous month, while the domestic debt increased by almost $39 million to over $4.5 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government\u2019s external debt rose by $29.908 million to over $5.8 billion. Central&nbsp;Bank&#8217;s&nbsp;debt rose by $5.066 million to over $566.4 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of domestic debt over $3.9 billion were owed to resident holders of government bonds&nbsp;in drams.
