Armenia\u2019s economic activity index in the third quarter of 2010 increased by 6% from Q2 to 65.6%, the Central Bank of Armenia said in a press release. It said economic activity index in the third quarter grew by 5.8% year-on-year. The Central Bank said also business environment index declined by 1.7% from Q2, 2009 to 50.3%, while consumer confidence index dropped by 2.2% to 45.8%.<\/p>\n<p>The figures are based on a series of surveys conducted by the Central Bank randomly among 1,066 companies dealing with industry, construction and services and 1,814 households in Yerevan and all 10 provinces. The surveys were made by Internet, telephone, letters and fax to calculate the economic activity and business environment and consumer confidence indexes.
