A year earlier the debt in AMD stood at about 4.2 trillion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the total debt over $6.5&nbsp;billion&nbsp;were the external debt (an increase of $126.7 million from the previous month, while the domestic debt increased by $511.5 million to about $5.4 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In AMD equivalent, the external debt increased by 65.&nbsp;8 billion drams&nbsp;from November 2023&nbsp;&nbsp;amounting&nbsp;&nbsp;to over 2, 6 trillion, while the domestic debt increased by 218.1 billion drams to about 2.2 trillion drams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the external debt, the government&#8217;s debt increased by $107.4 million to over $5.9 billion by the end of December 2023.
