{"id":153123,"date":"2024-02-09T06:31:04","date_gmt":"2024-02-09T06:31:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2024\/02\/09\/251342\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:53:44","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:53:44","slug":"deposits-in-armenian-banks-amounted-to-amd-5-7-trillion-at-the-end-of-december-2023-statistics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2024\/02\/09\/153123\/","title":{"rendered":"Deposits in Armenian banks amounted to AMD 5.7 trillion at the end of December 2023 &#8211; statistics"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, February 9. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>The amount of deposits in Armenia&#8217;s banks at the end of December 2023 amounted to over 5.6 trillion drams against about 5.4 trillion drams in September, according to the National Statistical Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of non-resident&nbsp;&nbsp;deposits&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;amounted to 1.36 trillion drams against 1.27 trillion drams in September, while resident deposits stood at 4.32 trillion drams against 4.09 trillion drams in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of non-resident deposits&nbsp;&nbsp;at the end of December did&nbsp;&nbsp;not include demand deposits (including accounts) and term deposits of non-resident organizations, households, organizations not pursuing profit, as well as non-banking financial organizations.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of all dram resident deposits 1.09 trillion&nbsp;&nbsp;were demand deposits (including accounts) (1.1 trillion drams in August), while&nbsp;&nbsp;time deposits stood at 1.30 trillion drams (1.31 trillion drams in August).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of the foreign currency deposits equivalent to 1.7 trillion drams (1.6 trillion in August), demand deposits (including accounts) amounted to 1.23 trillion drams (1.09 trillion in September), and time deposits &#8211; to 1.33 trillion drams (1.30 trillion in September).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In December, the average interest rate on eposits was 8.16% (8.60% in September).
