{"id":153315,"date":"2024-02-20T10:57:40","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T10:57:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2024\/02\/20\/251364\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:53:49","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:53:49","slug":"presence-of-international-banks-in-armenia-important-and-desirable-uba-head","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2024\/02\/20\/153315\/","title":{"rendered":"Presence of international\u00a0banks in Armenia important and desirable &#8211;\u00a0UBA\u00a0head"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>YEREVAN, February 20. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The\u00a0arrival of\u00a0international banks in Armenia is desirable and important, Chairman of the Union of Banks of Armenia\u00a0(UBA)\u00a0Daniel Azatyan said at the request of ARKA news agency in a comment on the latest bank\u00a0\u00a0acquisition deals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On February 6, Ardshinbank announced an agreement&nbsp;&nbsp;with HSBC Europe B.V, a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings plc, to acquire its subsidiary HSBC Bank Armenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On February 19, Ameriabank said it reached an agreement with&nbsp;&nbsp;Bank of Georgia Group (BOGG), a UK registered financial group,, to join the Bank as a standalone entity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;These are important developments for the Armenian banking sector.
