{"id":154680,"date":"2024-05-08T12:19:16","date_gmt":"2024-05-08T12:19:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2024\/05\/08\/251479\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:54:29","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:54:29","slug":"agro-insurance-process-for-2024-launched-in-armenia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2024\/05\/08\/154680\/","title":{"rendered":"Agro-insurance process for 2024 launched in Armenia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, May 8. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>Armenia&#8217;s Ministry of Economy, which oversees also the agricultural sector, urged today farmers to insure their crops against hail and drought risks for 2024.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year the agro-insurance program covers such crops as apple, cherry, peach, slava, potato, watermelon and melon (against hail), as well as grain crops (wheat, barley, oats) against drought.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The insurance premiums are subsidized by the government by 50-60%. In addition, the government supports the insurance companies by paying compensations in case of exceeding a certain level of insurance payments.
