{"id":158859,"date":"2024-12-10T13:14:14","date_gmt":"2024-12-10T13:14:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2024\/12\/10\/255656\/"},"modified":"2025-01-02T12:17:47","modified_gmt":"2025-01-02T12:17:47","slug":"central-bank-of-armenia-refrains-from-forecasting-the-exchange-rate-of-dram-for-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2024\/12\/10\/158859\/","title":{"rendered":"Central Bank of Armenia refrains from forecasting the exchange rate of dram for 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>YEREVAN, 10 December. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>The Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Martin Galstyan declined today forecasts on the exchange rate of the national currency , the dram, against the US dollar for the next year and did not comment on the impact of the recent fluctuations of the Russian ruble.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, the Eurasian Bank for Reconstruction and Development said it expects the exchange rate of the Armenian dram to the dollar to be AMD 402 in 2025. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018I probably won&#8217;t do anything wrong if I don&#8217;t voice the forecasts on the exchange rate of the dram. I believe that the advantages that countries with a freely floating exchange rate can afford are obvious, and the recent events are stemming from it : there have been fluctuations, which is natural. We are very calm about it, but some colleagues have made quite serious changes as a result of the ruble devaluation.
