{"id":18070,"date":"2010-12-17T12:50:08","date_gmt":"2010-12-17T12:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2010\/12\/17\/232012\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T12:49:20","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T12:49:20","slug":"to-overcome-poverty-government-needs-93-5-billion-drams-unit-head","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2010\/12\/17\/18070\/","title":{"rendered":"To overcome poverty government needs 93.5 billion drams: Unit head"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, December 17, \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>A total of 93.5 billion Drams,  which is an equivalent of 3% of the GDP will be enough to overcome  poverty in Armenia, said today Diana Martirosova, head of A unit of the  National Statistical Service in charge of households studies.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking  at a news conference to present the findings of a study on social state  and poverty in Armenia she said this amount if added to earmarked  social spending will help the government overcome poverty.<\/p>\n<p>She  said 2.5 billion Drams or 0.1% of the GDP is a sum that will help  eradicate extreme poverty, if added to the sum earmarked to that end.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier Armenian prime minister Tigran Sarkisian said next year\u2019s  budget has earmarked an unprecedented rise of social spending. Some 43  billion Drams of that amount will be directed at social and cultural  sectors. ($1\u00a0360.94 Drams).
