{"id":20267,"date":"2011-03-01T06:27:58","date_gmt":"2011-03-01T06:27:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2011\/03\/01\/232414\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T12:50:10","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T12:50:10","slug":"ameriabanks-structured-deposits-grow-to-1-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2011\/03\/01\/20267\/","title":{"rendered":"Ameriabank\u2019s structured deposits grow to $1 million"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, March 1, \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The volume of Ameriabank\u2019s structured deposits has grown to $1 million, Ruben Gevorkian, head of the bank\u2019s unit investment fund, told ARKA in an interview.<\/p>\n<p>He said the structured deposits were launched in April 2010 \u2018as an absolute innovation on the financial market of Armenia enabling the investors to capitalize on the international commodities markets as well as on Dow Jones index ensuring capital protection.\u2019 As a structured product, the gold-linked structured deposits earn returns at a fixed rate as well similar to traditional bank deposits. He said this type of deposits had won the bank many new clients.<\/p>\n<p>In his words, Ameriabank is the pioneer in Armenia in terms of introducing structured products, which he said are very popular in other countries and which are in a bigger demand after the crisis.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018These products contain less risks to banks, clients and investment companies,\u2019 he said.
