Armenian commercial banks bought about $61 million at the local intra-bank foreign exchange market on March 21-25 at the average exchange rate of 368.39 Drams per $1, the Central Bank of Armenia told ARKA. In the same time span the banks sold about $68.6 million at<\/p>\n<p>369.86 Drams per $1. The combined amount of deals in USD at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange totaled $13.92 million. The deals were effected at average weighted exchange rate of 368.32 Drams per $1. The volume of Dollar sales and purchase deals at inter-bank market totaled $500,000. The average exchange rate was 368.6 Drams per $1. On March 14-20 Armenian banks extended 20.1 billion Drams worth loans in the national currency and $50 million in USD.
