{"id":21729,"date":"2011-04-08T11:31:48","date_gmt":"2011-04-08T11:31:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2011\/04\/08\/232724\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T12:50:49","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T12:50:49","slug":"areximbank-gazprombank-group-plans-to-step-up-mortgage-lending","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2011\/04\/08\/21729\/","title":{"rendered":"Areximbank &#8211; Gazprombank Group plans to step up mortgage lending"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, April 8. \/ ARKA \/.<\/strong> Areximbank &#8211; Gazprombank Group said today in  a press release that it plans to channel $6.5 million this year into  development of mortgage lending in Armenia.<\/p>\n<p>It quoted\u00a0 deputy director general Vigen Barseghyan as saying that the  bank\u00a0\u00a0 intends to make efforts to step up mortgage lending programs,  especially that the standards used by the bank allow to keep the quality  of the portfolio at a fairly healthy level, avoiding, if possible,\u00a0  unscrupulous customers.<\/p>\n<p>He said also the bank has been\u00a0 working in the mortgage market for years  already, having gained good experience and besides, it revises  regularly interest rates downward.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A large bank must have a diversified portfolio and so we do\u00a0 intend to  continue this line of lending to individual customers,&#8221;\u00a0 said  Barseghyan.<\/p>\n<p>ZAO Areximbank &#8211; Gazprombank Group is a member of a mortgage programs  funded by\u00a0 German bank KfW, it is also a member of the National Mortgage  Program and a government\u00a0 program\u00a0 called Affordable housing for young  families.
