It said every year Commerzbank grants the award to its  best partner banks worldwide recognizing their high performance in  international transactions both in terms of quality and number.<\/p>\n<p>The award ceremony was attended by Axel Bommersheim, Senior Relationship  Manager at Commerzbank, Johann Engbrecht, Relationship Manager and  Ruben Khachatrian and Zaven Shamian, deputy Directors General of  Areximbank-Gazprombank Group<br \/>\nAreximbank-Gazprombank Group (formerly Areximbank) was established in  1998 to handle financial flows between Armenia and Russia. It is a  principled member of VISA International and MasterCard International  payment systems.<\/p>\n<p>In 2007 it joined Armenian ArCa payment system. The bank is owned fully  by Russian Gazprombank and has 6 branches in Yerevan and 9 in regions.  In 2001 it handled $20 million worth remittances.<\/p>\n<p>Commerzbank was founded in 1870. It is the second largest bank in  Germany in terms of assets size which total 400 billion euros.
