{"id":22463,"date":"2011-04-28T13:12:58","date_gmt":"2011-04-28T13:12:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2011\/04\/28\/232840\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T12:51:04","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T12:51:04","slug":"world-banks-yerevan-office-awards-prizes-to-winners-of-student-essay-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2011\/04\/28\/22463\/","title":{"rendered":"World Bank\u2019s Yerevan office awards prizes to winners of student essay competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, April 28. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The World Bank\u2019s Yerevan office has awarded prizes to the winners of the competition of essays written by students about economy and environment.<\/p>\n<p>The topics of the competition held at the period between February 1 and March 10 were \u201cHow can Armenian Government Overcome Adverse Consequences of the Latest Economic Crisis?\u201d and \u201cThe Value of Armenia\u2019s Forests\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Naira Melkumyan, acting director of the office, speaking at the award ceremony, said the successful experience gives ground for holding the competition again the next year.<\/p>\n<p>She said that these essays showed that students expect more clear-cut steps from the government.<\/p>\n<p>Melkumyan also said that neither first nor second prizes were awarded on environmental essays, since none of them were found fit for that.<\/p>\n<p>The competition of environmental essays was financed by the European Neighborhood Partnership Program of Enforcement of Forest Laws and Regulation of Forestry.<\/p>\n<p>The winners of economic essay competition were Armine Babakhanyan, Evelina Beknazaryan and Venera Martirosyan, the second-year students of the American University of Armenia.<\/p>\n<p>The second prize was awarded to Manuk Khudoyan, the third to Roland Avoyan and the fourth to Narine Darbinyan.<\/p>\n<p>Satenik Martirosyan got an encouraging prize.<\/p>\n<p>Winner of the third prize of the environmental essay competition was given to Armine Asatryan and Levon Ghukasyan, and the fourth to Satine Smbatyan and Anna Hayrapetyan.<\/p>\n<p>Hrant Hovhannisyan and Tatevik Igityan got encouraging prizes in this competition.<\/p>\n<p>The first prize amounted to $700, the second $500, the third $400 and the fourth $300. -0-<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The World Bank\u2019s Yerevan office has awarded prizes to the winners of the competition of essays written by students about economy and environment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":"","tstyn_error":""},"categories":[9214,9216],"tags":[12556,12738,12183,308],"class_list":{"0":"post-22463","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-banks-en-en","7":"category-news","8":"tag-competition","9":"tag-students","10":"tag-world-bank","11":"tag-308"},"acf":[],"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/22463","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=22463"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/22463\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=22463"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=22463"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=22463"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
