Armenian commercial banks bought a total of $44.9 million at the local foreign exchange market on April 26-29 at an average exchange rate of 371.86 Drams per one USD, the Central Bank said today.<\/p>\n<p>It said the banks sold about $54.6 million in the same time span at an average exchange rate of 373.42 Drams per one USD.<\/p>\n<p>The combined amount of transactions effected at NASDAQ OMX Armenia exchange stock in the same period of time amounted to $15.9. Transactions were effected at an average exchange rate of 370.39 Drams per one USD.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Bank said also $200,000 worth transactions were effected in USD at the local inter-bank foreign exchange market at an average exchange rate of 370.5 Drams per one USD.<\/p>\n<p>Also the banks provided 31,3 billion Drams worth loans in the national currency on April 17-24 and $57.3 million loans in USD.
