The Central Bank of Armenia has registered a new \u2018Shirak\u2019 branch of Armeconombank. The Central Bank press office said to ARKA that the decision was passed by the Central Bank governor on October 21.<\/p>\n<p>Armeconombank was founded in 1991. Over 75% of its shares are held by its major shareholders, the SIL Concern (53.4%) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) (25% plus 1 share).<\/p>\n<p>As of September 30, the bank\u2019s assets totaled almost 50 billion Drams, liabilities-41.4 billion Drams, the aggregate capital-8.4 billion Drams, credit investments-29.1 billion Drams. Armeconombank has 17 branches in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
