Arthur Javadian, the chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), and Andranik Grigorian, Head of Financial System Regulation Department have left for Basel, Switzerland, to attend the June 24-27 annual meeting of the Basel Bank for International Settlements, the CBA told ARKA.<\/p>\n<p>The Basel Bank for International Settlements is an international financial institution set up to promote cooperation between national central banks and to facilitate international financial transactions.<\/p>\n<p>The Bank is also a center for economic and monetary researches. The Bank was founded by central banks of major trading nations. Each appoints a representative to the board of directors that convenes at least 10 times a year.
