{"id":249365,"date":"2020-05-26T15:57:12","date_gmt":"2020-05-26T15:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2020\/05\/26\/249365\/"},"modified":"2020-05-26T15:57:12","modified_gmt":"2020-05-26T15:57:12","slug":"net-individual-money-transfers-to-armenia-in-first-quarter-of-2020-down-by-16-7-to-87-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2020\/05\/26\/249365\/","title":{"rendered":"Net individual money transfers to Armenia in first quarter of 2020 down by 16.7% to $87 million"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, May 26. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The net amount of individual money transfers sent to Armenia in the first quarter of 2020 decreased by 16.7% to $87 million, the Executive Director of the Union of Banks of Armenia Seyran Sargsyan told reporters during an online press conference on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him,\nin the first quarter of this year, the amount of individual money transfers\nfrom abroad through banks decreased by $37 million or 9.7% year-on-year to $354\nmillion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time,\nhe noted that over the same period, individual money transfers from Armenia to\nother countries dropped by almost $20 million or 7.1% to $266 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs a result, the\nnet inflow of individual money transfers to Armenia decreased by almost $17\nmillion, or 16.7% year-on-year to $87 million,\u201d Sargsyan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Union\nof Banks of Armenia, the net inflow of individual money transfers to Armenia in\n2019 decreased by 15.6% to $504 million. The total amount of individual money transfers\nfrom abroad through banks in 2019 amounted to $1 billion and 959 million, which\nwas 9.7% or $173 million more than in 2018. Over the same period, individual\nmoney transfers from Armenia to other countries grew by 22.5% to $1 billion and\n455 million.
