{"id":249709,"date":"2021-02-26T15:01:27","date_gmt":"2021-02-26T15:01:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2021\/02\/26\/249709\/"},"modified":"2021-02-26T15:01:27","modified_gmt":"2021-02-26T15:01:27","slug":"armenias-foreign-exchange-reserves-drop-to-2-400-3-billion-in-january-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2021\/02\/26\/249709\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenia&#8217;s foreign exchange reserves drop to $2.400.3 billion in January 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, February 26. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>Armenia&#8217;s foreign exchange reserves, as of January 2021, stood at $2.4 billion, down from $2.615.5 billion in late December 2020, the Central Bank said in a report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It said the bulk of foreign exchange reserves &#8211; $2.393.9 billion ($2.606.6 billion in December 2020) &#8211; were external reserves, of which $1.398.3 billion ($1.780.5 billion in December 2020) were securities and $995.6 ($826.1 million in December 2020) were cash and deposits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other foreign exchange reserves, as of January 2021, were worth $21.5 million ($26.5 million in December 2020).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2019, Armenia&#8217;s forex reserves increased by 26.1%, or by about $590 million to $2.85 billion in late December.
