{"id":249808,"date":"2021-05-06T09:36:03","date_gmt":"2021-05-06T09:36:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2021\/05\/06\/249808\/"},"modified":"2021-05-06T09:36:03","modified_gmt":"2021-05-06T09:36:03","slug":"armenian-central-bank-to-create-single-register-of-bank-accounts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2021\/05\/06\/249808\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenian central bank to create single register of bank accounts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>YEREVAN, May 5. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>A set of amendments to the Law on Central Bank, passed today in the first reading by Armenia&#8217;s parliament, provide for the creation of a single register of bank accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to deputy chairman of the Central Bank Nerses Yeritsyan, the register will contain data on open and closed accounts, their numbers, opening and closing dates, as well as other information that does not contain banking secrecy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the initiative is part of general standards and rules for combating money laundering and terrorist financing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe register will not include data on account balances, on the movement of amounts, but they can be used in the investigation of corruption cases.
