{"id":249919,"date":"2021-07-20T13:33:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-20T13:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2021\/07\/20\/249919\/"},"modified":"2021-07-20T13:33:00","modified_gmt":"2021-07-20T13:33:00","slug":"armenia-has-lowest-gold-and-forex-reserves-among-eeu-member-stats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2021\/07\/20\/249919\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenia has lowest gold and forex reserves among EEU member stats"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>YEREVAN, July 20. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>At the beginning of 2021 Armenia\u2019s gold and foreign exchange reserves were the lowest among members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan), according to the Eurasian Development Bank\u2019s report on Uzbekistan\u2019s integration with the EEU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the report, the gold and foreign exchange reserves of Uzbekistan, which is not a member of the EEU at the beginning of 2021 stood at $34.9 billion, which is comparable to the reserves of Kazakhstan and more than 2.5 times higher than the combined reserves of Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moreover, the gold and foreign exchange reserves of Uzbekistan are equivalent to almost 20 months of imports of goods and services.
