YEREVAN, October 25. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>Armenia’s national debt at the end of 2022 will amount to 4 trillion 740 billion drams or 60.2% of GDP, Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan said today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at a parliamentary discussion on next year\u2019s draft budget, he said a tangible increase in revenues is planned for 2022 due to an increase in tax collections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The draft budget of the government designed for 2022 calls for 1 trillion 946 billion drams in revenue, which is by 17% more (260 billion drams) in comparison with 2021, and by 25% more in comparison with 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spending is set at 2 trillion 190 billion drams, which is by 10% more than in 2021 and by 16% more that in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minister said the government will need 517 billion drams to repay its debts in 2022. Of that amount some 303 billion drams will be paid as debt, and 214 billion drams are interests<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Khachatryan noted also that the government has earmarked 211.7 billion drams of domestic sources to finance capital expenditures and 134.8 billion drams are to come from external sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, in 2022, financing of the state budget deficit will amount to 349 billion drams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the minister, Armenia’s external debt at the end of 2022 will amount to 69% of the total national debt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In late June 2021 Armenia\u2019s state stood at 4,394.5 trillion drams ($8. 869 billion), having increased by 229.2 billion drams ($900.6 mln.) in comparison with the previous year\u2019s indicators.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
