{"id":250346,"date":"2022-05-20T13:22:52","date_gmt":"2022-05-20T13:22:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2022\/05\/20\/250346\/"},"modified":"2022-05-20T13:22:52","modified_gmt":"2022-05-20T13:22:52","slug":"warsaw-stock-exchange-to-acquire-65-03-of-armenian-securities-exchange","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2022\/05\/20\/250346\/","title":{"rendered":"Warsaw Stock Exchange to acquire 65.03% of Armenian Securities Exchange"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, May 20, \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>The Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE)\u00a0announced\u00a0today\u00a0that its Board of Directors\u00a0gave a conditional approval to\u00a0acquisition of\u00a065.03% interest in Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seller&nbsp;is&nbsp;the Central Bank of Armenia,&nbsp;which&nbsp;currently holds a 90.05% stake in the share capital of AMX. As a result of the transaction, the WSE will acquire 967 ordinary shares of AMX, which will give&nbsp;it&nbsp;a 65.03% stake in the total share capital of&nbsp;AMX. The cost of the deal is&nbsp;AMD 826,297,550.00. The WSE will therefore become the majority shareholder of AMX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the transaction, AMX&#8217;s ownership structure will be as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; AMX: 148 equity shares-&nbsp;9.95% stake in the company&#8217;s share capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Central Bank of Armenia-&nbsp;372 shares; 25.02% stake in the company&#8217;s share capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; WSE: 967 shares&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;65.03% stake in the company&#8217;s share capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the transaction, the WSE will indirectly acquire control over Central Depository of Armenia, in which AMX currently holds a 100% stake.
