{"id":250610,"date":"2022-11-03T12:08:31","date_gmt":"2022-11-03T12:08:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2022\/11\/03\/250610\/"},"modified":"2022-11-03T12:08:31","modified_gmt":"2022-11-03T12:08:31","slug":"armenias-public-debt-to-decrease-to-51-of-gdp-in-2022-imf-forecast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2022\/11\/03\/250610\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenia&#8217;s public debt to decrease to 51% of GDP in 2022 &#8211; IMF forecast"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, November 3, \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>\u00a0IMF said in a statement that fiscal overperformance and dram appreciation have contributed to a significant decline in Armenia\u2019s public debt, which is expected to drop to 51 percent of GDP this year from 60.3 percent of GDP in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement was made by Iva Petrova, IMF Mission Chief for Armenia, after an INF team visited Yerevan from September 26 to October 6 to discuss a three-year economic program supported by an IMF&nbsp;precautionary Stand-By Arrangement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Armenian Ministry of Finance expects the public debt\/GDP ratio to drop in 2023 to a level not exceeding 50%.
