{"id":250992,"date":"2023-07-13T13:23:52","date_gmt":"2023-07-13T13:23:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2023\/07\/13\/250992\/"},"modified":"2023-07-13T13:23:52","modified_gmt":"2023-07-13T13:23:52","slug":"local-branches-of-german-giz-and-kfw-to-be-established-in-armenia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2023\/07\/13\/250992\/","title":{"rendered":"Local branches of\u00a0\u00a0German GIZ and KfW to be established in Armenia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, July 13. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The Armenian Parliament on Thursday ratified an agreement\u00a0on\u00a0the establishment of local branches of the German Agency for International Cooperation\u00a0(GIZ) and KfW Reconstruction Credit Bank.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Local branches of these organizations have long been operating in Armenia without having a specific status,&#8221; Armenian Deputy Minister of Economy Rafael Gevorgyan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He specified that under the agreement the Armenian government undertakes to guarantee security as well as protection of these&nbsp;offices , to exempt them from customs duties on imported&nbsp;equipment and other state fees, to exempt the organizations and their branches from all kinds of direct taxes, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The applications&nbsp;from these organizations&nbsp;to open&nbsp;their&nbsp;offices&nbsp;in Armenia&nbsp;were&nbsp;received 12 years ago, but the process did not move forward for a long time due to inter-agency disagreements. To date, these disagreements have been resolved,&#8221; the deputy minister said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the involvement of the German government in the projects on the territory of Armenia has been quite high over the past period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It is enough to note that Germany is the leading&nbsp;EU member&nbsp;country&nbsp;&nbsp;in terms of trade turnover with Armenia.
