{"id":251424,"date":"2024-04-09T09:11:39","date_gmt":"2024-04-09T09:11:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2024\/04\/09\/251424\/"},"modified":"2024-04-09T09:11:39","modified_gmt":"2024-04-09T09:11:39","slug":"eib-delegation-familiarized-with-f-sisian-kajaran-road-section-project-in-the-south-of-armenia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2024\/04\/09\/251424\/","title":{"rendered":"EIB delegation familiarized with f Sisian-Kajaran road section\u00a0project\u00a0in the south of Armenia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, April 9. \/ARKA\/.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0The project\u00a0designed to build the\u00a0Sisian-Kajaran\u00a0section\u00a0within the framework of the 4th Tranche of the North-South Interstate Highway was discussed with\u00a0a\u00a0delegation of the European Investment Bank (EIB) at the Armenian\u00a0Road Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Karen Badalyan, Deputy Director of the Department and Artur Sanoyan, Project Manager,&nbsp;&nbsp;presented the technical, environmental, social components of the project, its estimated cost and other aspects&nbsp;of the project&nbsp;to the EIB representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The possibilities of co-financing the project&nbsp;together&nbsp;with the Asian Development Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development were also discussed with the EIB representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The members of the EIB mission, accompanied by representatives of the Road Department, also visited Syunik region to familiarize themselves with the route of the 60 km long road under construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was reported earlier that the cost of this project&nbsp;is estimated at 487 billion drams (over $1.25 billion at the current exchange rate).&nbsp;Some&nbsp;27 bridges with a length of about 4.7 km and 5 tunnels with a length of more than 12 km (one of which is 8.6 km)&nbsp;are to be built&nbsp;on the 60-km section of the Sisian-Kajaran road.
