{"id":251453,"date":"2024-04-30T11:30:59","date_gmt":"2024-04-30T11:30:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2024\/04\/30\/251453\/"},"modified":"2024-04-30T11:30:59","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T11:30:59","slug":"debtors-in-armenia-will-not-be-left-without-means-of-livelihood-deputy-minister-of-justice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2024\/04\/30\/251453\/","title":{"rendered":"Debtors in Armenia will not be left without means of livelihood &#8211; Deputy Minister of Justice"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, April 30. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>Armenian Deputy Justice Minister Levon Balyan presented a draft law on making amendments and additions to the law \u201cOn Compulsory Execution of Judicial Acts\u201d in Parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Balyan, under the proposed amendments, debtors will not be left without means of subsistence. That is, the income of debtors will be confiscated only partially &#8211; up to the amount corresponding to the minimum wage in order to ensure their livelihood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the current legislation, up to 50% of the amount can be withheld from a debtor&#8217;s salary and therefore he or she may simply lose his or her livelihood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe amendments to the law stipulate that in criminal proceedings demanding payment of an amount of more than 200 thousand drams, the arrest will be imposed first of all on the debtor&#8217;s income.
