{"id":251690,"date":"2024-09-05T14:50:55","date_gmt":"2024-09-05T14:50:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2024\/09\/05\/251690\/"},"modified":"2024-09-05T14:50:55","modified_gmt":"2024-09-05T14:50:55","slug":"armenias-total-public-debt-increased-to-12-3-billion-as-of-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2024\/09\/05\/251690\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenia&#8217;s total public debt increased to $12.3 billion as of July"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, September 5. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Armenia&#8217;s total public debt as of July 31, 2024 stood at over $12.3 billion, an increase of $178.2 million from June 30, 2024, according to the National Statistical Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On December 31, 2023, the country&#8217;s public debt stood at over $11.8 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the total debt, over $6.2 billion was &nbsp;external debt (an increase of $10.7 million from the previous month), while domestic debt increased by $167.5 million to over $6 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government debt increased by $6 million to over $5.7 billion at the end of July 2024. The Central Bank&#8217;s debt increased by about $4.7 million to about $512.7 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the domestic debt, over $5.5 billion (an increase of $167) were owned to resident holders of government treasury bonds .
